The Boy With His Brains (and eyes) on the Floor

Description

This is based on a nightmare I had after watching Lena Dunham's 2010 movie Tiny Furniture. I don't think anything from the movie is directly responsible for the nightmare, but the rotten mood it put me in may have played a part in creating it.

In my dream I'm at what I think was either a party like there was in the movie, or a family gathering. I stumble into a small room with a carpeted floor that's lit with a static television (or maybe there was something on, I don't know) and inside is a little boy in a striped shirt with his eyes blackened and sewn shut. The boys cries and pleads for me to play with him and on the floor near him are what appear to be his brains and eyes that have been stepped on. I distinctly remember in the dream crying miserably after this encounter with the boy in distress.

This drawing is far from accurate from the the way the dream looked (the boy had blonde hair and his face was a bit more Aryan), but I suck at memorizing things visually and I really suck at realistic depictions unless I have a photo to work off of.

If I was to try to interpret this nightmare, it may represent what I've become on the inside. A blind, ignorant child who's isolated himself from everyone with no real companionship. It appears that I've destroyed my intelligence and insight long ago in the process. If incorrect it may also foresee what I may become if I don't try to live for myself by finding a job or my own apartment in time. It may even represent my generation. A blind, infantile generation that's in desperate need of growing up.

I guess I'm looking too deep into this. I do that a lot.
