Isolation Depression

Part of the in-progress "Types of Depression" series.

In isolation we become separated from the grid of conventional society. While everyone else is black or white in society's social pattern the isolated person is a shade of grey, in their own world. In our own world we develop a better understanding of ourselves as individuals and take our own shape. However not everyone can understand, acknowledge, or appreciate this difference and so everyone else goes on with their lives. This leaves the individual to suffer the pain of being unique and can only linger among the crowd to find someone like them, if such a person exists.
